Watersports
Watersports are easily found in the Aviemore area. A short 20-minute drive will take you to Loch Insh Watersports at Kincraig. You will find on offer sailing, canoeing, windsurfing with escorted Kayak trips on the River Spey.
Equipment is available for hire and tuition is on hand for all the above sports.
Alternatively a similar range of activities can be found at Loch Morlich at the base of Cairngorm mountain.

Mountain Biking
The local area abounds with cycle trails around Loch Insh and Rothiemurchus and Alvie Estates, which will suit riders of all ages and abilities.
We offer access to a secure cycle store at the apartment for our guests.

Walking & Clothing
Being based in Aviemore you are within easy reach of 2 mountain ranges, namely the Cairngorms and the Monadliaths. Further away near Fort William (approximately 1¼ hours by car) is the famous Nevis Range featuring Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.

For those serious walkers we recommend the 7 mile Wildcat Trail in Newtonmore or the Speyside Way at Aviemore which takes you through to the Morayshire coast.
Snow Sports
Skiers and snow boarders will find a good selection of runs and routes offering differing degrees of challenge at Cairngorms and Nevis Range. Kids sledging is also available at Cairngorm.

Golf
Golf in Speyside is a delight with a variety of 18 and 9 hole courses which provide a challenge to all abilities set against a background of stunning scenery.
All Golf Clubs welcome visitors, and for the keen golfer weekly tickets can offer good value.

Variety of hill loch fishing for wild brown trout although a healthy hike is involved, albeit worthwhile for some excellent wild brown trout fishing.
